Super G at the Lauberhorn: Baumann just past the Stockerl, Ferstl in the uptrend

Finally, Rome Baumann was back very close to the pot drivers. The veteran German Alpine ski team has missed the podium in the Super G in Wen gen only by a whisker. The runner-up went on Thursday with three hundredths of a second behind the third-placed Olympic champion Matthias Mayer of Austria finished fourth. Fastest was again the outstanding Swiss Marco Zermatt, who already celebrated his sixth win of the season and increased his overall lead. Second was his character rival, the Norwegian Aleksander Almost Wilde. Today was again really something for the confidence, Baumann said after his best ever World Cup result this season.
